Hi there, Brooke,
There will be no shortage of things to do during your Disney cruise to the Bahamas. Both Nassau and Disney's Castaway Cay offer a myriad of accessible activities for the whole family. Here are a few ideas to consider.
Nassau, Bahamas
- 10-minute walk: Straw Market; browse vendor stalls for the perfect Bahamian souvenir
- 15-minute walk: Junkanoo Beach; soak up the sun on this free beach close to the cruise ship pier
- 20-minute walk: Queen's Staircase; a historical site carved into limestone to connect Nassau and Fort Fincastle.
Port day at Nassau can also be a great time to experience and explore your Disney cruise ship. Passengers on the Disney Dream can solve a mystery with the Midship Detective Agency. Those on the Disney Wish can splash into fun on the AquaMouse water slide or gather wishing star magic with the Disney Uncharted Adventure interactive experience accessed through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Movies, characters, soft-serve ice cream, poolside fun, and much, much more remain available to passengers even while the ship is in port.
Disney's Castaway Cay, Bahamas
Children registered with the Oceaneer Club on the ship will have complimentary access to Scuttle's Cove at Castaway Cay. The same counselors from the ship provide secure programming and activities for children while Mom and Dad enjoy a Port Adventure, explore the island, or relax at the adult-exclusive Serenity Bay.
I'm confident you will enjoy every minute of your Disney cruise. The biggest disappointment you are likely to face is that it will seem too short. But, hakuna matata! It means, "No worries!" That's because you can choose to book a placeholder cruise while onboard to save up to 10% on most sailings within 24 months of your cruise.
Bon voyage, Brooke!
