    hi there we're visiting disney july 18 thro aug 3 and are thinking of doing the Africa Wild Trek at Animal Kingdom. does anyone know how much it costs and if it is value for money how much more do you see or and above the standard park safari ride. x

    Hi Alison. This very question has even been debated among the panel members as far as value as it is one of the more expensive tours offered. I actually was fortunate to take this tour on the first day it was ever offered to the public and can't say enough great things about it.

    You will experience many behind the scenes things and have an opportunity to do things other guests can only wish to do!  Who can say that feeding a hippopotamus while strapped into a harness leaning over the edge isn't exciting!  And walking over the rope bridge over the crocodiles is breath taking...or should I say will take your breath away!!!! I think I held mine the whole time and had my watch come loose half way over. All I could think about was Peter Pan and the crocodile with the clock inside of him! Luckily watch and myself made it over safely!

    Your safari vehicle will stop whenever there is something special to see unlike the other safari rides.  Then you will stop for a rest at a very special enclosure right on the savannah where you can eat and watch the animals around you.  Your meal will be a real taste treat and be sure and make a pit stop here as the bathrooms are more elegant then any resort on property!
