Hi there, We are travelling to Orlando in April to stay at Animal Kingdom and wanting to find out if we can order a grocery delivery from Walmart (or another deliverer) from here in New Zealand in order to receive it on the day we arrive? Thank you!

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Gemma!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! How exciting that you’re coming all the way from New Zealand in just a few months! This is going to be a big journey, and it’s so fun to start planning the little details that make arrival day extra smooth. Disney World is truly the perfect reward after a long flight, especially when you get to stay right in the MAGIC. Let’s talk about how grocery delivery can help you settle in quickly and start enjoying your vacation right away.

Once you arrive at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, you’ll be happy to know that grocery delivery is absolutely an option and works very well for international guests. You can place an order using a U.S. version of a delivery service, such as Walmart Grocery, Amazon Fresh, or other local Orlando providers, and schedule it for the day you arrive. If your order includes items that require age or ID verification, such as alcohol, you will need to meet the delivery driver in person, as Disney Resort hotels are not permitted to accept those deliveries on a guest’s behalf. For grocery orders that do not require ID verification, Bell Services can receive the delivery on your behalf if you are not yet in your room.

If you’d like your groceries to be delivered directly to your room, a $6 fee will be charged to your room account for each delivery. You can pick up your groceries from Bell Services or Luggage Assistance in the resort lobby at no charge, which many guests find quick and convenient. Grocery delivery is a fantastic way to stock up on breakfast items, snacks, bottled water, and other essentials, allowing you to relax after a travel day. It’s one simple planning step that helps your Disney vacation begin smoothly, comfortably, and stress-free.

As you continue to plan, be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information on all things Disney. Mickey and his pals have some incredible surprises planned, and we don't want you to miss any of the fun!

If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
