Hi there We are staying at the Grand Floridian. Are Magic Kingdom and Epcot Centre within walking distance of this hotel? Also, how long will the monorail take from GF to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom?

    Hi Niel!

You've picked a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort for your magical vacation!  The elegance of the Grand Floridian is just breath taking.

Even though the Grand Floridian is next to the Magic Kingdom, there is no walking path to get there.  Epcot is not within walking distance of this resort.

One of the benefits to staying at the Grand Floridian is that you are directly on the monorail line that will take you to the Magic Kingdom.  It will take about 15 minutes to get there via the monorail.  You can also take a ferry boat directly to the Magic Kingdom.  To get to Epcot using the monorail, you have to hop on at the Grand Floridian, transfer at the Ticket and Transportation Center and then hop on the Epcot monorail.  This will take at least a half an hour.  The monorail ride from the Ticket and Transportation Center is a scenic ride and lots of fun!

The only way to get to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom from the Grand Floridian is by bus.  Please allow yourself about an hour to an hour and a half travel time to get to these two parks, especially if you have dining reservations.

    Have a magical day!
