Hi there, We are sailing on the Dream 4/17/11 and cannot wait! We want to get to the ship as soon as possible so we are now considering renting a car and forgoing our booked transfer transportation from the Animal Kingdom.Alamo/National to do this? help!

    Hi, Kristin!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the Disney Dream -- you are right to be excited and want to board as soon as possible! She is a spectacular ship, and your fun begins from the moment you arrive.

If you are considering canceling ground transportation you have previously arranged, you will need to call (800) 951-3532 as soon as you have made your decision. There are advantages to scheduling a private transfer from a Walt Disney World resort to Port Canaveral -- the most obvious being time and efficiency.  Take a look at allears.net or mousesavers.com for car services recommended by those who have had a myriad of experiences. I personally would recommend a car service as opposed to a rental car for the simplicity of the transfer. Depending on how many people are in your party, the cost efficiency could even work in your favor.

I hope that helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
