Welcome to planDisney Helena! Thanks for reaching out with your question. I'm excited to help you! How wonderful that you're planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort with your grandson! You’re sure to create some amazing memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
As a mom to an almost 4 year old, I can say with confidence that planning a magical trip to Disney World with your 4 year old grandson will be such an exciting adventure! First lets start with the parks.
Magic Kingdom is a must for young children. It's full of gentle rides like Peter Pan's Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and the Mad Tea Party. Don't miss the
Festival of Fantasy Parade and character meet-and-greets. Rides with No Height Requirements - Magic Kingdom is full of these! It’s a Small World, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid are gentle and fun.
Animal Kingdom is great for kids who love animals! Take a ride on the Kilimanjaro Safaris and explore the Triceratop Spin.
The Boneyard play area and Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond! show are great too.
Hollywood Studios - If your grandson loves characters like Buzz Lightyear, Woody, he will definitely enjoy Toy Story Land!
EPCOT is great for fun activities like Frozen Ever After and the Aquarium in the Seas Pavilion can be very engaging for little ones.
Character Dining is a great way to meet characters without waiting in line. Consider dining at
Chef Mickey’s or Cinderella’s Royal Table. There are plenty of kid friendly meals throughout the parks. Bring snacks and water to keep your little guy energized.
Lightning Lane Passes can help you skip long lines on rides such as Peter Pan’s Flight and Jungle Cruise.
Lastly, staying on property is convenient, especially with a young child. Resorts like
Disney’s Art of Animation or Pop Century offer kid friendly themes and fun pools. Also, you'll have easy access to the parks with Disney transportation.
Quick tip - Bring a stroller! Even if your grandson doesn’t usually use one, the parks involve a lot of walking.
I hope this information helps you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Helena! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. We'll see ya real soon!
