Hi there, We are going to Disney world in January and am pregnant. I read online that if you bring proof of pregnancy you get a wristband that gives you priority access to ride queues. Is this correct? If so could you share what exactly I need and where?x

    Hi Lauren!

Congratulations on your pregnancy and upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort in January! What a magical way to celebrate this special time. While there isn’t a wristband or policy that provides priority access to ride queues specifically for pregnancy, there are plenty of ways to enjoy your visit comfortably and make the most of your holiday!

I’d like to share some tips that I took full advantage of for visiting while pregnant:

First and most important, take it easy! This is the perfect time to savor the shows and entertainment Walt Disney World has to offer. Experiences like Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are not only breathtaking but also give you a chance to sit back and relax.

Stay Hydrated and Take Snack Breaks. Florida's mild January weather is usually more forgiving, but keeping water and snacks handy is still essential. You can bring your own or stop at quick-service locations for light, refreshing options.

Consider purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass access for the most popular attractions. This allows you to minimize time spent standing in lines and focus on enjoying your day. Keep in mind that some attractions may have health and safety warnings for pregnant guests, which will be posted at the entrance.

Speaking of health and safety warnings, make sure to check attraction signs. At the entrance to each ride, you’ll find posted advisories. Attractions with intense movements like Space Mountain or Expedition Everest will include a warning for expectant mothers. I made the choice to stick to gentle attractions such as 'it’s a small world' at Magic Kingdom Park or Living with the Land at EPCOT, which are delightful and relaxing.

Go with the flow. Flexibility is key! Plan for breaks, and don’t hesitate to take a midday rest back at your resort. You’ll feel refreshed and ready for more fun later.

Lastly, don’t forget to capture the memories! A baby bump in front of Cinderella Castle makes for an adorable photo, and the Disney PhotoPass photographers can help you treasure this magical chapter.

Wishing you a magical and relaxing vacation filled with joy and excitement for the journey ahead!
