Ahoy, Jeanne!
I can't think of a better way to dive into your vacation than a stay at the Walt Disney World Resort the day prior to your cruise departure! There are so "minnie" options for you to consider on property. My first recommendation is a stay at either Disney's Beach Club Resort or Disney's Yacht Club Resort. These resorts are located along
Disney's BoardWalk area and offer wonderful dining venues close by such as Trattoria al Forno, Flying Fish or even the ESPN Club. After dinner, you can stroll around the BoardWalk enjoying arcade games, beautiful scenery and some ice cream at the
Ample Hills Creamery! The flavors are out of this world! After taking in the sights and sounds of the area, I suggest making a splash in the Stromalong Bay pool back at your resort.
Disney Springs is also an area you might want to consider for your February stay. If you haven't been recently, it is definitely worth a visit. You can catch a movie at the AMC Theatre, go bowling at Splitsville and shop to your heart's content. With so many restaurants, you will be able to have your pick of a variety of cuisine options. One of my favorite places for dinner is Raglan Road with its live music and dancing.
La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil is an amazing show as well! If Disney Springs is your pick, I do suggest a stay at either Disney's Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter or Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside since they both offer the very convenient boat transportation over to the area.
I hope I've given you some good ideas for your pre-cruise stay, Jeanne. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Have a magical day!
Nancy
