Hi Ranjane! Thank you for sailing by planDisney. As someone who gets seasick, I understand the concern for your child. As a kid, I would take over-the-counter motion sickness medication, but there are other options now, like acupressure wristbands! The fresh air of a verandah could also be helpful, plus focusing on the horizon has been helpful to me. I also keep some ginger candy on hand to help with any nausea. Consider speaking to your pediatrician or primary care doctor about what will be best for your child.
When selecting a stateroom, I prefer to stay Midship because I don't feel the swaying as much. I also prefer to stay on higher decks, but others who get seasick prefer staying on a lower deck. When I sailed on the
Disney Wonder, my Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah was on Deck 8. I checked your sail dates, and it looks like the same type of stateroom is available Midship on Decks 6 and 7.
Ranjane, I hope your child feels well enough to check out
Disney's Oceaneer Club or
Lab. He or she can visit Andy's Room to become a toy or join a top-secret mission in Marvel Super Hero Academy. The hours of operation will be listed in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. While the kids are away, I always encourage the parents to play! Check out the adult-exclusive areas on the Disney Wonder, such as the
Quiet Cove Pool and the
Cadillac Lounge.
If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and visit my
planDisney pals and me anytime.
Adventure is out there!
