There’s gonna be a bad storm in Los Angeles this week when we are supposed to attend will be be able to move our tickets to another day or get a refund?

Greetings, Daniel, and welcome to planDisney! You're right – we're expecting some wet weather here in Southern California over the next few days. Let's make sure you're set for a great visit.

Disneyland Resort theme park tickets are nonrefundable. However, in most cases, you can adjust your theme park reservations to visit on different dates when better weather is expected. Your ticket type will determine how much flexibility you have to update your reservation dates. For example, the CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket must be used by May 21, 2026, and visits don't need to be made on consecutive dates. Single-day tickets and multi-day tickets generally have a fairly generous window to be used. However, multi-day tickets must be used within 13 days of the first use. If your ticket is for a Disneyland After Dark event, those tickets can't be rescheduled or refunded.

So, Daniel, the first step is to check your ticket type. Then, adjust your reservations if needed. On the Disneyland website, sign in to your MyDisney account, hover over the "My Disneyland" tab, and click "My Plans." If your tickets are linked to your account, you should see your reservations there. Alternatively, you can sign in on the Disneyland mobile app, tap the three horizontal lines (☰) at the bottom of the screen, and then tap "Future Plans." Tap the date you want to change, and follow the prompts to make the update.

You can also decide to go to the Disneyland Resort this week as planned, embracing the wet weather. A few of my most memorable visits have been in the rain! Some entertainment may be modified or cancelled, and some attractions may temporarily close, due to inclement weather. However, the park may be less busy than normal if other Guests cancel their plans, which means you might enjoy shorter wait times for many attractions. Just make sure you pack the right gear. On rainy days, my family typically brings waterproof jackets, ponchos, plastic shoe coverings, and a dry change of clothes (including socks). You can rent a locker to store any extra items you don’t want to carry around all day. I also like the idea of making a dining reservation, so that you can enjoy a nice meal at a table-service restaurant, out of the rain. To stay warm, hot chocolate is always a good choice.

Daniel, I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, whether you decide to keep your plans or postpone for better weather. If you have any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
