There’s four of us going to Disney. We were only able to get a two person reservation at Beaches and Cream. We were planning to order only shakes/dessert. Is it possible for the two to go to the reservation and get the food to go?

If you ask my kids (okay, fine, and me, too), no trip to Walt Disney World is complete without a stop at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. While I always appreciate a good Kitchen Sink experience, I have to admit that I selfishly prefer to keep all my ice cream to myself and so the Fudge Mud Slide rules supreme in my heart.

I’m sorry you couldn’t score a reservation for your entire traveling party. I know that’s disappointing. Don’t give up hope yet, though. I’ve had lots of luck in stopping in at a restaurant's podium a day or two prior to my reservation to see if the Cast Members could adjust the party size. If you can’t do that, you should still keep checking for cancellations and new availability online.

Currently, the To-Go counter is not available at Beach & Cream Soda Shop, so two people without a reservation will not be able to get takeout. If you are unable to successfully change your reservation to a party of four, you might consider placing a second order when you finish your shakes and sundaes. There are a couple of shake options that are served in souvenir cups, which, naturally, would be to-go friendly. Maybe you can treat your friends?

In any case, Tracy, I’m wishing you a yummy experience.
