There’s a big chance that our upcoming travel plans will change, what will happen to my 2-day hopper ticket if I cancel my park reservation? Can I still use it for future travel? Will it expire?

    Hi Trevor! Welcome to planDisney!

Ugh, I’m so bummed to hear that your visit to Walt Disney World Resort vacation may have been postponed. I'm sure you have been so looking forward to this trip, but whenever you can visit is sure to be the perfect time to enjoy all that Walt Disney World has to offer! Especially if you can reschedule for some time before March 31st, 2023, as you’ll arrive just in time to take part in Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. It’s such a magical celebration, so you won’t want to miss it!

Now, let’s talk about your tickets so you can get your visit rescheduled. Entirely unused tickets do expire, but the value of those tickets will remain in your account. So, you can use the value toward the purchase of tickets for a future visit. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no way to apply this amount online, so you would need to call Guest Relations directly at (407) 934-7639, where a Cast Member will be happy to help you.

I do want to note that entirely unused means that none of the days on your ticket were used. So, for example, let's say you were able to use one day of your two-day park hopper ticket before your plans changed. In this case, the ticket is not entirely unused, so it would hold no value, and you would not be able to use it for a future visit.

As you start thinking about rescheduling and what dates will work for your family, I recommend checking the Theme Park Reservation Calendar to ensure availability on your dates before purchasing your tickets. As a reminder, you'll need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day. Then, since you have added the Park Hopper Option to your tickets, you can hop over to another park starting at 2 p.m. each day. I would hate for you to reschedule your visit and not be able to visit your preferred parks!

Trevor, the magic never ends at Walt Disney World, so I promise you will have an absolutely wonderful vacation whenever you can make it. And don’t forget, your friends at planDisney are here to help as you plan your rescheduled vacation! We love answering questions from fellow Guests to help make their vacation as magical as possible, so please don't hesitate to reach out with any other questions you may have!

    See you real soon!
