Hi Charles! Welcome to planDisney! We’re so happy you stopped by with your question. You have a fun visit to Walt Disney World Resort to look forward to, so let’s make sure you can get a separate room during your stay!
When
booking online, you will only be able to reserve one room at a time. If you book a room and list three Guests, all three will stay in the same room. In order to book a second room, you will need to make a separate reservation. While you can book two separate reservations online and add both confirmation numbers later in My Disney Experience, the easiest way to do this is by
calling to speak with a Cast Member who can help you set up these two separate reservations and link them. They will put a separate lead guest name on each reservation. In this case, it could be your name on one room and your sister on the other. The Cast Member can link the two reservations as traveling together and add a request for adjoining or connecting rooms, if you’d like. There is no guarantee that request can be fulfilled, but the Cast Members at your resort will do their best to make it happen.
You and your sister should each also be sure to have your own
My Disney Experience accounts, and then you can add each other to your
Family & Friends lists to share your plans with one another. This can also make it easier for booking things like
dining reservations and
Lightning Lane passes. In case you haven’t already looked, be sure to also check out the
special offers available. With two separate rooms, this can add up to big savings!
Charles, I hope this helps you navigate how to get exactly the resort hotel reservations you’re looking for. If you have any other questions,
come back and see me. I’d be happy to help and love adding extra magic to your Disney vacation planning!
With faith, trust, & pixie dust,
Casey
