Hi There, My family (me, my husband and 2 and 1/2 year old) will be staying at Walt Disney world from Dec.23rd to the 30th, and I am trying to make a list of all the things I need to bring and be prepared for, any advice? thanks

Hmmm.  Things you'll need to bring and be prepared for.  Well, let's see.  First and foremost I think you ought to pack your checkbook so that you can make a deposit on next year's trip; that's how much fun you're about to have, Jana!  No but really, your family is sure to have the most festive and magical of holiday trips.  You'll want to be sure to pack layers of clothes (including rain ponchos) because the weather can be fickle.  Also, don't forget your digital camera with spare batteries and memory cards.  If you've scheduled dining reservations, you should consider bringing along the confirmation numbers in case you run into any confusion.  I also like to bring blank 3x5 cards so that I can record costs as we go; I'm geeky that way.  You might also want to think about bringing Santa hats for the family; they'd make cute props for a photo in front of Cinderella castle.

As long as you've got clothes, cameras, spending money and your little one, I think you're all set, Jana.  Have a merry trip!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
