Hi there..love you guys! Planning a trip for Aug2010 and wondering how long to wait before booking..want to stay at BLT but am worried if I book to soon I might miss out on promotions yet to be released!! Please help!! Thanks

    Hi Amanda!

I plan almost all of our family trips to Disney far in advance.  (I'm a typical type-A, neurotic mom, and do pretty much everything early!)  If you have your heart set on Bay Lake Tower, I'd recommend going ahead and booking your trip as soon as your dates, budget and plans are set.  If a promotion that applies to your travel dates, resort, etc. becomes available, you could always call back and ask to have it applied to your reservation.  I have done this successfully many times.  Another option is to book through a travel agent that specializes in Disney vacations and is an authorized Disney travel agent, and ensure that the agency knows that you expect to have any discounts, packages, etc. applied should they become available for your stay.

I had an opportunity to tour Bay Lake Tower a few months ago and was completely impressed.  I also toured a model room at a new Disney Vacation Club preview center in New York this past weekend, and was again amazed!  It is a fantastic location to call home during your vacation!

    Have a great trip!
