Hi there, I’m planning a trip with my daughter for her birthday and later this year. We plan to stay at one of the resort hotels. Does resort hotel package include entry into theme parks? Also does package include fast pass.? Thanks

    Hi there,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us!

A very merry unbirthday to you(r daughter)!” I can’t think of a better way to celebrate a birthday than at the Disneyland Resort! I’m sure your daughter will have a magical experience!

Guests who are checked into a Disneyland Resort Hotel can use Early Entry for admission to the parks up to 30 minutes before posted opening hours. Resort Hotel Guests can enter Disneyland Park early on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, while early entry to Disney California Adventure Park is available on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Cast Members may ask to see your hotel reservation, so I recommend you have it pulled up on the Disneyland app just in case. You can reference the Hours & Events Calendar to double-check early entry for your planned visit dates.

If you wish to feel like the Genie with “infinite cosmic power!”, then I recommend purchasing Disney Genie+. Disney Genie+ is an add-on service where guests can select lightning lanes (similar to fast passes) to bypass the standard queue and wait in a shorter line to select attractions. This service is not included in a Disneyland Resort Hotel stay. Guests who wish to use this service can either purchase at the same time as ticket purchase, or it can be added on after scanning into the parks via the Disneyland app (pricing subject to change).

Have you thought about ways to celebrate this special occasion? If you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you can order in-room celebrations, where Cast Members can decorate your room with balloons, Disney treats, and more! You can order in-room celebrations before your visit date, so your daughter can start celebrating their birthday right when you check in!

Don’t forget to book an advanced dining reservation for a special birthday meal! I recommend booking a dining reservation at Blue Bayou Restaurant, Minnie and Friends - Breakfast in the Park, Lamplight Lounge, or Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures. I also recommend purchasing a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake and having it delivered during the dinner service. Please review the dining locations that offer this and book before your visit!

And don't forget to stop by City Hall at Disneyland Park or Guest Services at Disney California Adventure Park for a complimentary birthday button, so Cast Members and guests alike can celebrate her special day!

If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
