Hi Jason! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
I'm excited you are considering a stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel! One of my favorite parts of a Walt Disney World vacation is deciding which resort we plan to stay at. In fact, my family has been known to plan resort-only stays where we don't end up visiting the parks at all. On a recent trip, we stayed at
Disney's Beach Club Resort and utilized Stormalong Bay for the majority of the time. We relaxed by the pool and dined at the restaurants in and around our resort. We were able to see fireworks from
Disney's Boardwalk and participated in some of the games that we stumbled across. We were able to fully take advantage of the amenities and recreation that were offered during our stay!
Walt Disney World is a great place to visit alone, but it's even better when sharing the experiences with others. When booking a resort room, there will be a maximum number of Guests that each room will allow. Depending on the size of the room you reserve will determine how many Guests can join you during your stay. You can add these Guests at any point during your stay by stopping by the front desk to notify them of the change. There may be an additional fee required for more than two Guests, but that will be determined by the resort you are staying at.
If your friends end up joining you during your trip, make sure to also add them to any dining or park reservations you already have planned. Each of these will be subject to availability, so it would be best to have them tell you as soon as possible about their plans.
Vacation packages have not been released for next year just yet, so if you want to book a room-only reservation at this time, you can do so up to 499 days in advance. Room rates are not advertised online for the following year, so you will need to
call the Walt Disney World Resort and speak to a Cast Member for assistance.
Jason, best of luck planning your
Walt Disney World Resort stay! You are going to have an amazing time during your visit!
Happy planning!
Greg
