Hi there, I’m doing my first solo trip in February and I’m looking at the dining options. It says casual but can I wear jean shorts and a racer back tank top? Since I plan on doing the parks before and after my meal. I’ll be flying from east coast Canada.

    Hi Shelley,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian! I had a chance to do a solo trip a few years ago and it was honestly a ton of fun. I really enjoyed meandering through the Theme Parks at my own pace, especially when it came to eating what and where I wanted!

As you can see from the Walt Disney World Resort dress code FAQ, what you’re planning to wear should be just fine according to the Walt Disney World Resort property rules

The only restaurants where what you plan to wear might go against a dress code would be the Signature or Fine Dining locations located outside of one of the Theme Parks, such as California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. There, although jeans can be worn if they’re in good condition, Guests are asked to avoid wearing tank tops, flip-flops, swimsuit coverups, cut-offs, torn clothing and graphic t-shirts. If you're planning to dine at one of these locations, be sure to check out the restaurant's page to see whether there are any dress code requirements when planning what to pack.

I hope my answer helps you plan a wonderful trip this March. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
