Not only are they convenient for carrying snacks in the parks, but my family loves to reuse our popcorn buckets at the beach or to organize toys at home.
At Disney World, you can refill popcorn buckets at a discounted price for your entire length of stay. Currently, you don’t need to show a receipt to buy a refill, but check with a Cast Member when you purchase your bucket to confirm the latest rule. And if you’re on a
Disney Dining Plan, a popcorn refill currently counts as a snack credit.
A quick tip I wanted to pass along for carrying your popcorn bucket. Depending on which bucket I’m planning to buy, it may not come with a strap to wear it like a crossbody bag. If it has a shorter handle, I usually bring a carabiner to easily clip it onto my backpack. That lets me keep my hands free for holding drinks or using my phone to book
Lightning Lane selections or
mobile order food!
Now, if you’re looking for an extra special popcorn treat, head to the back of the
Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom for my absolute favorite Disney snack. Here you can customize your own popcorn mix by picking a chocolate drizzle and 2-3 candy mix-ins. While it doesn’t count as a popcorn refill, it’s a truly decadent treat. And it’s the practically perfect snack to grab before you stake out a spot to watch
