Hi there, I was wondering what would be great places to eat at Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios for me and my 14yr old daughter. We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge and was also wondering how the pools are there and what not to mis

Michelle, zooming down Space Mountain, eating Mickey ice cream, and sailing with pirates is the perfect mother-daughter get away.

With a teen along, Be Our Guest Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom is my top choice. Here you can dine in a fabulously themed castle on French inspired food that is more sophisticated than standard theme park fare. No Disney princesses appear which might be your adolescent daughter's preference. Reservations are required for dinner, but lunch is counter service.

Disney's Hollywood Studios has two of the most fun themed restaurants in Walt Disney World. 50's Prime Time Cafe offers comfort food brought to you by entertaining servers in a kitschy setting of linoleum tables with black and white televisions playing old sitcoms. The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater provides convertible style tables for you to sit back in while you enjoy old B level science fiction movie clips as you munch on hamburgers and milkshakes. Reservations are needed for these spots.

Check out Yak and Yeti in Disney's Animal Kingdom. This spot is my 13 year old daughter's favorite AK restaurant. Make reservations for the air conditioned table service or pick up counter service outside.

While at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge do eat a meal at either Jiko-the Cooking Place or Boma-Flavors of Africa, two of my favorite restaurants in WDW. Both spots offer slightly exotic choices as well as American standards. Reservations are needed.

The zero entry Uzima pool at AKL has a water slide, hot tub, and African theming- perfect for an afternoon off from the parks. The nearby Kidani Village also has a pool complete with a water play area.

Please contact me if you have any additional questions or need more recommendations. Enjoy your one on one time with your daughter!
