Hey Kevin!
A warm welcome to planDisney. Thank you for sending us your wondEARful question about
Walt Disney World Resort theme park rules. I am so happy to answer your question today!
You are correct, Kevin. Selfie sticks and hand-held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices are not allowed in any of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. However, the DJI OM 4 and other DJI Osmo Mobile products are gimbals, not selfie sticks. Gimbals are most certainly allowed in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. In fact, I just used my DJI gimbal at Magic Kingdom Park this week! I love to use my gimbal to capture video and pictures for my blog.
I carry my gimbal in its original DJI hard-sided case and put it straight into my backpack or purse. I have never had any issues transporting into the park. The one time I was asked about it, I simply removed it from its case, allowed the security guard to take a look at it, and proceeded to enter the theme park.
Kevin, I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any additional questions, please visit planDisney again. We are always hEAR to help you!
Wishing You a Picture-Perfect Vacation,
Priscila
