Hello Sigrid,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question! I’m very happy to hear that you were able to make your
Disney dining reservations at your 180 day mark - you’ve probably been able to get your first choice of seating and dining times for most of your preferred restaurants.
You can find the
cancellation policy for each restaurant for which you’ve made a reservation in the email that you received when your booking was confirmed. Typically, most restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort charge a fee of $10 per Guest if a dining reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours before your selected time.
I’ll admit it - I’ve been late for my dining reservations before, especially when my son’s midday nap has run a little long. (Okay, fine… it was my nap that ran long, but, in my defence, he was napping too!!) The ability to accommodate any late arrivals is at the discretion of the restaurant’s manager when you check in for your dining reservation. I’ve found that being 20 minutes late hasn’t caused much of an issue. The times when we’ve been later than that (yes, it has happened), we’ve sometimes been turned away, but most of the time, the restaurant did manage to accommodate us, albeit usually with an increased wait time.
I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation and please don’t hesitate to come back and visit us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
