Hiya Karen,
Welcome back to planDisney! I hope you are excited about your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. The spooky season is in full swing, and it is such a great time to visit. I’m not sure if
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is on your must-do list, but if not, you should look into it. It is one of my favorite events, and it is perfect for getting in the Halloween spirit.
I’m sorry to hear you weren’t able to find what you were looking for, Karen, but hopefully I can help you get to the bottom of it. Karen, I think I’ve figured out the reason for the missing make a payment option. You mentioned that you have a “room-only”
reservation type, which means that you purchased your theme park tickets separately from your resort hotel reservation. Unfortunately, at this time, Guests with room-only reservations are not able to make payments toward their final balance in advance of their trip. Only Guests with Vacation Packages (those who booked their theme park tickets in the same transaction as their resort hotel reservation) can do so. With a “room only” reservation, your outstanding balance will be due when you check in at your resort hotel.
I know this wasn’t the answer you might have been hoping for, Karen, but I hope it was still helpful. Before I let you go, as someone who likes the way that making payments enables me to budget more easily, I am always on the hunt for a way to do so without having a Vacation Package. This is why I purchase
Disney Gift Cards. I get them a little at a time and then combine them before my trip and use them to pay for my resort hotel balance when I get to the resort. It may be an excellent strategy for you as well. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
