    Hi there! I just received my Dooney & Bourke Lady and the Tramp Magic Band and there is no charger in the box. There isn’t anything in the item description that says no charger included. Help!

    Hi Janice!  Thanks for bringing your question to us here at planDisney.

    Oooh!  Great MagicBand choice!  I was just eyeing the Limited Release Lady and the Tramp Dooney & Bourke band on shopDisney -- the canine "portraits" are so cute!  If this is the MagicBand you ordered, then I am happy to be able to put your mind at ease.  This style is a MagicBand 2, which does not need to be (and cannot be) charged.  The long-range battery, which is what will "automagically" link your on-ride Disney PhotoPass photos to your My Disney Experience account, is estimated to last about 2 years, although I have bands several years older that are still working just fine.  Even if the long-range battery is no longer working after a period of time, your adorable Lady and the Tramp MagicBand should still work at any "Mickey to Mickey" touchpoints, such as the entrance tap styles or Lightning Lanes.

    Last month, the highly anticipated new MagicBand+ launched.  MagicBand+ has all the same features as MagicBand 2, plus new features such as customizable lighting effects and haptic vibrations.  MagicBand+ is equipped with a rechargeable battery to power these fun features.  MagicBand+ comes with a charging cable, while MagicBand 2 does not.  Both versions are sold online at shopDisney, as well as in merchandise locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort.
