Hi there, I have just read about after dark events happenings when I visit Disneyland from Australia with my family in March. How is it fair that we get kicked out early on these nights when we have paid full price for these tickets?

    Hello Ian,

Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with your concern. I can absolutely understand how you might feel about the Disneyland After Dark events, especially when you're coming all the way from Australia and eager to soak up every moment.

On nights with Disneyland After Dark, the park does close earlier for guests not attending these special events. It can be a bit frustrating, I know, especially when you're keen on a full day of fun. These events are part of the Disneyland experience, offering unique themed evenings on select nights.

The park schedules are adjusted for these events and shared well in advance, so you can plan your day accordingly. A good strategy for the day of an event is to start your Disneyland adventure early. The mornings are usually less crowded, giving you a chance to enjoy more attractions.

Also, consider adding Genie+ to your day. There’s an additional cost, but it allows you to select Lightning Lane entries for certain attractions, helping you make the most of your time in the park. It’s especially helpful on busier days or when you have limited time.

If you're thinking of continuing the fun after Disneyland closes, having the Park Hopper Option (which does come with an extra cost) allows you to move over to Disney California Adventure Park if it's open later. This way, you can enjoy a full day of Disney magic across both parks.

I hope this helps, Ian, and if there’s anything else you need or more questions you have, I’m here to assist. Wishing you and your family an absolutely fantastic time at Disneyland!
