Hi Rebecca,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m beyond excited to hear that you’re planning a couple's costume based on one of my favorite Disney couples: Aladdin and Jasmine for your SPOOKtacular evening at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I bet you’re going to be serving street rat chic meets royal glam!
To make sure you have the most enchanted magic carpet ride during the event, here are the important things to consider when it comes to your costumes. Adults are welcome to dress up for the party as long as their costumes follow
a few guidelines. Costumes should be family-friendly, without anything too revealing or scary. Full face masks aren’t allowed, so your face must stay visible at all times. Also, floor-length gowns or anything that drags on the ground should be avoided, and accessories that look like real weapons aren’t permitted. You’re also good to go to dress like Disney characters, but just keep in mind that guests can’t pose for photos or sign autographs as those characters.
Your Aladdin outfit with the vest and pants sounds spot-on, and Jasmine’s red look should be just fine too, as long as it follows those basic rules. I’ve seen plenty of creative Agrabah-inspired looks at the party that capture the spirit of the characters while staying within the guidelines. Honestly, the people watching at this party is probably my favorite part!
So no need to rub any lamp! Your costumes sound like they’ll be fit for royalty, no Genie required! If you need tips on spooky snacks, where to catch the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, or how to fit in all the fun before the last spell is cast, just swing back by planDisney. I'd love to help you make the most of your not-so-scary night!
Wishing you a night full of sparkle, sass, and just the right amount of cosmic power (in an itty-bitty living space),
Emille
