Welcome to planDisney, Wenxiu!
You’re just a few sleeps away from your visit to Walt Disney World! I think taking a rest day between park visits is a great idea, and there is so much to do around Walt Disney World Resort without entering the theme parks.
You are correct that your
3-Day Walt Disney World theme park ticket is valid for 5 days, beginning on your selected start date. Your
tickets can be used on non-consecutive days during the 5-day validity window. If your tickets were purchased as part of a Walt Disney Travel Company Package, the tickets are valid from the date of your check-in and must be used by the date of check-out, or within the validity window, whichever period is longer.
If you don’t have plans for your rest days yet, let’s talk about some of my favorite activities outside the parks! My family loves spending time at the Resort pool, but sometimes we don’t feel like lounging by the water. In that case, Disney Springs is at the top of our list. We can spend the day walking around, having a meal, and shopping. You can even see a show like
Cirque du Soleil, a
movie at AMC, or a live music performance at House of Blues or one of the stages around Disney Springs. Many of the stores are filled with Disney magic and merchandise, like
World of Disney. And right now, the holidays have arrived at Disney Springs, which means you can
meet Santa, try out
holiday menu items, take a
Christmas tree stroll, or see “snow” fall nightly in the Disney Springs Town Center.
There are other Enchanting Extras around Walt Disney World, like
Horseback Riding at Fort Wilderness Resort,
fishing excursions, and
miniature golf. You could even spend a day exploring the Resorts and seeing what
holiday décor has popped up in the Resort lobbies.
I hope I gave you a few ideas on how to spend your time outside the theme parks, Wenxiu! I know you have an amazing visit to Walt Disney World in just a few days, but we’ll be here at
planDisney to help answer any future questions you have!
