Hi There I am going alone to WDW next October...I am so worry about it. I am afraid to be lonely and sad, my life is so complicated now...Shoul I go???

    Hi Fabiana,

I am so sorry to hear you are dealing with some bumps in the road right now. While Disney World can't solve life's problems, maybe this is exactly what you need right now.

I have traveled solo to Disney World a number of times, & while the first time seemed strange, that uneasiness disappeared the minute my Magical Express bus crossed under the Walt Disney World welcome sign. Although I was traveling solo, I never felt "alone". Disney World is such an amazing place where everyone is happy to chat, smile & sing along with you. I loved taking as long as I wanted at a parade or show, wandering through exhibits or shopping, & even sitting & enjoying an ice cream with no cries of "Mom I have to go to the bathroom".

Traveling solo is the perfect opportunity to do exactly what you want to. Make a few reservations at places that others in your family would not enjoy ( I used this time to write postcards, read a book or journal). You may want to book a tour or two. One of my favorites is the Keys to the Kingdom which offers guests insight into the life of Walt Disney & how Magic Kingdom came to be.

Don't be afraid to chat with other guests or especially Cast Members. So many have amazing stories to tell and loads of information on Disney World. I love to take these trips to really enjoy the magic around me. There is so much attention to detail in every shop, building, and attraction that often is missed when you are tending to children or chatting with family. One of my favorite things to do is sit on a bench near Cinderella Castle and watch guests eyes light up at the first sight.

Go, enjoy, and let the Disney magic help you take a break from some of your worries. Hopefully they will not seem as bad once you have had a little sprinkle of pixie dust!
