Hi There, First time cruising on Disney Magic the week of March 17. We have three daughters 17, 14, 11. What is a MUST to for teens? What time do kids (that want to be pretty independent )usually get back to the room?

    Hi Scott,

First time on the Disney Magic?  Awesome!  I love sailing on that ship...I've done it three times:)  I'm super happy for you.

Well, the great news is that you don't have to worry about entertaining your three girls.  Vibe, for teenagers 14-17 is a lot of fun, and provide activities for the kids from the time it opens until it closes in the evening.  Your 11 year old will be at The Edge.  My daughter loved that club!  Again, all activities are arranged by the counselors.

Really, my kids were in their respective clubs most of the time.  I did take them off the ship to enjoy the ports, and we had all of our family breakfasts and dinners together.  The only dinner we didn't have together was when I went to Palo with my husband.  Please don't miss Palo!  They never wanted to leave the clubs or their new friends.

As for returning to their rooms?  That one's up to you dad.  The clubs close between 11:00 and midnight.  You'll have to pick up your 11 year old from the club.  They won't release a child under the age of 12 without an adult.

I hope you have a magical sailing!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
