runDisney enthusiast myself, I totally love to keep track of the fun themes for the races. I also love everything
runDisney stands for! It’s happy, positive, encouraging, and just plain fun! When I started running more seriously in 2021, I was thinking about maybe trying to run a marathon. I discovered
runDisney, and that tipped the scales! I’ve been to every
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend since 2022!
For the
runDisney virtual races, there are three events -
runDisney Virtual Series (June 1st - August 31st),
runDisney Virtual Spooktacular (October 1st - 31st), and the
runDisney 12Ks of Christmas (December 1st - 31st), in which participants run three separate 4Ks. Unfortunately, the themes haven't been announced yet, so we’ll have to wait patiently. Looking back, the themes for the virtual races are usually announced around the middle of March, which means you won’t have to wait long.
The virtual races have a tradition of great themes!
Last year, the Virtual Series featured Disney attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and Big Thunder Mountain. The 12Ks of Christmas featured the Muppets! I’m sure this year will not disappoint.
