Do all of the theme parks offer wheelchairs or scooters for the elderly?

Hi Nicole and welcome to the Disney Parks Mom's Panel. The answer to your question is: Yes. Wheelchair rental is available throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Keep in mind that wheelchairs cannot be removed from the Park in which you rent them, so if you will be visiting more than one Park in a day you will need to plan accordingly. Guests are also welcome to bring their own wheelchairs. We have a special needs son and we have done this many times. We just attach a tag to the top of the wheelchair with our name on it and have never had a problem parking it outside the rides he is able to transfer to. Be aware there are also private companies who offer wheelchair, scooter and stroller rentals for the entire length of your stay. This can often be a more convinient option as you are able to keep it with you as you travel back and forth to your hotel. Take a look at the Wheelchair Rentals page of the Walt Disney World website for more details and information.

I hope this has helped ease your mind about the availability of wheelchairs and other mobility items. We love to help so please come back soon for any help you might need with your planning. Have a magical day!
