We have a Theme Park view at the Grand Floridian we're thinking of April, Is the view worth extra $$ or would a garden surfice for our 6 year old girl. We also read that it was noisy with the sound checks early in the AM at the park and closing the park

While the Grand Floridian is our family’s favorite resort, we’ve only had a Theme Park view once. The view of the castle was enchanting.

However for the amount of time that you are enjoying the view from your room, you can just as easily save money and look at the castle from around the resort grounds. We have also been able to view the fireworks from the balcony of some garden view rooms facing the inner courtyard.

You’ll likely be enjoying the castle view while watching the fireworks from the boat dock. You can enjoy breakfast at an outdoor table by Gasparilla Grill while looking at Cinderella‘s home.

I’ve also heard that if you can get a glimpse of the castle or of space mountain from your room, then it is considered a theme park view. I would inquire whether viewing the castle is guaranteed, if this is what you are expecting.

I have heard that some noise can be heard from the ferry boats horns, trains whistling and other sound disturbances in the early morning and late at night. Sound check noise seems disturb people’s sleep during the night, especially when a special event such as the Night of Joy is scheduled.

We have always been pleased with the garden view rooms overlooking the courtyard. The Grand Floridian sparkles at night time, while mornings are peaceful.
