I have theme park tickets starting on Feb 16th and we are staying at pop century; however, our tickets are not linked with our hotel reservation. Will I still be able to book Lightning lanes 7 days in advance? Or do I need to link the tickets to our hotel

    Hiya Leslie,

Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe that you are almost on your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth? I also have a trip coming up, and I’m counting down the seconds until I am strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., enjoying yummy treats and checking attraction wait times on my phone.

Speaking of wait times, let’s talk about Lightning Lanes. You are correct, Leslie, that Guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort (and other select hotels) can purchase Lightning Lanes up to 7 days in advance of their stay and for the entire length of their stay. However, you will need to link your Resort Hotel reservation to your My Disney Experience account so the system can register you as a Guest and enable you to book your Lightning Lane selections at that time. To link your Resort Hotel reservation, open up your My Disney Experience mobile app and select the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner. That will open up the menu. Scroll down until you see “Link to Account.” Next, select “Type ID” at the top to find the option to link your “Resort Reservation.” Enter the confirmation number for your reservation and the lead Guest's last name. Once you do that, your resort reservation should be linked to your account. If you have difficulty linking your reservation, please reach out to a Cast Member in Tickets and Hotel Reservations for help. They can assist you in manually adding it to your account.

I hope this was helpful, Leslie! Before I let you go, I know I already mentioned yummy treats, so I wanted to make sure to share with you about EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. The foodie guide was just released, and I, for one, cannot wait to try out some of the treats during my visit. The menus are always so beautiful, and the art-inspired theming really lends itself to creativity (I mean, just look at the photos of the Tokyo Kawaii Roll!). If you need anything else, please come back and see us. We would love to help you have the very best trip possible.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
