Hi there, Maya! Welcome to planDisney. There’s nothing more magical than seeing the Magic Kingdom through the eyes of a little Mouseketeer. While some may disagree and say it isn’t worth the hassle to take little ones to the parks, let me assure you there’s something for even the littlest Guests.
If you have a little one who’s age 2 and under, they don’t need a
theme park ticket or reservation to enter. However, once they turn 3, they’ll need both a ticket and a reservation to enter the parks. On my most recent visit, we took our little guy, and he was able to follow my husband and me using our Lightning Lane passes as we scheduled them throughout the day. Using
Rider Switch is also a great option, allowing you and members of your party to take turns riding attractions in case your little one doesn’t meet the height requirement or doesn’t quite have the courage to do so. With multiple parks to choose from, there’s truly so much to do with a 2 year old.
I feel like this is the age where they can start to verbalize what they like and dislike. With that in mind, lean into your 2 year old’s favorites as you head to the parks. My niece is obsessed with Toy Story, especially Jessie.
Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios was the ideal spot for her to visit all her favorite pals from Andy’s room on her most recent visit.
Don’t forget to take breaks and give your 2 year old a moment away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. The
Baby Care Centers are my family’s favorite way to give our little guy a snack break, a restroom break, or a chance to cool down, especially with the Floridian sun.
Maya, thank you so much for visiting planDisney. I hope this information was helpful as you continue to plan your visit to Walt Disney World. If you have any questions before your visit, feel free to come on back to planDisney.
With a Sprinkle of Pixie Dust,
Bev
