Ahoy Sarah!
I’m so happy you thought of planDisney for your upcoming
Disney Cruise Line vacation details. A special adventure on the gorgeous
Disney Wish to kick off the new year sounds like a wonderful plan! I’m happy to answer your question so you can finalize your packing.
You’re correct in that our guidance is always to confirm the details of your sailing at the port terminal or on the ship, when your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App flips to
“onboard mode” and magically populates every detail of your specific itinerary. Entertainment is always subject to change, but we have the schedule for you now too. In the future, you may always ask us at planDisney or use the chat feature on the Disney Cruise Line website for similar details on a cruise.
For the
3-Night Bahamian Cruise onboard the beautiful Disney Wish leaving January 12, 2024 Pirate Night is planned for Saturday (the day you are in the port of Nassau, Bahamas). The other two nights are designated as cruise casual.
Pirate Night is a beloved Disney Cruise Line tradition, and while many Guests choose to wear full costumes my family prefers fun accessories or a Disney pirate tee to get in the spirit. You’ll love the festive dinner theme and energetic show on deck during this lively evening.
Your special itinerary makes a stop at Disney’s private island,
Disney Castaway Cay – what a treat! This picturesque, hug-shaped island is always a favorite stop on my family’s cruises. Be sure to disembark early for your top pick of beach spots to set up camp for the day and to maximize the island time together. If your family is interested in the water slide at Pelican Plunge, I encourage you to head there earlier in the day as it is quite popular and can form a queue. Enjoy the delicious lunch buffet (included with your cruise fare, as with other main meals onboard) and tropical drinks as you relax the day away, island-style.
Please let us know what other questions you have as you finalize this special trip. Here’s a
handy packing checklist as you get ready, and now you can include some fun pirate gear too!
Wishing you a magical cruise,
Amy
