Hey howdy hey, Kristin, and a big wave from one Tennessean to another! What a wonderful way to celebrate your youngest’s birthday. Your entire family will always remember sailing away on a
Halloween on the High Seas cruise, so I’m glad you stopped by planDisney with your question so we can help you make your trip extra magical.
Here’s what you can look forward to in terms of theme nights on your September 14–19, 2025, trip aboard the
Disney Magic: On Night 1, after leaving Port Canaveral, the dining attire is Cruise Casual, but don’t miss the
Sail-A-Wave Party out on deck to kick things off in style. On Night 2, after a fun day in Nassau, it’s time for costumes galore for Trick or Treating & Mickey’s Mousequerade Party, where the attire is either Halloween or Cruise Casual. Night 3 will bring swashbuckling fun after
Lookout Cay, when the
“Pirates in the Caribbean” Deck Party takes place, complete with fireworks if the weather (and Captain Jack Sparrow!) cooperate. This is the night to trade your costumes for your finest pirate garb (or feel free to keep things Cruise Casual again if you prefer). Finally, after a relaxing day at sea, the last night is Optional Dress Up, perfect for a family photo opportunity before you say farewell.
Since you’re celebrating such a special occasion, I’d recommend letting Disney Cruise Line know in advance that it’s your child’s birthday. You never know when a little extra Pixie Dust might be sprinkled on your sailing. Once you’re onboard, I also like to mention birthdays to our dining team on the first evening; they always find ways to make the celebration extra sweet. And don’t forget to swing by Guest Services for a complimentary celebratory button, so Cast Members and even fellow Guests can join in the fun all week long.
With theme nights to dress for, birthday buttons to wear proudly, and an itinerary full of magical memories waiting for you, your family is in for an unforgettable voyage. I hope your youngest’s birthday is as bright as the fireworks at sea and as sweet as the smoothies from Frozone Treats. If any more questions bubble up before your trip, I hope you’ll sail back to us here at
planDisney!
SEA ya real soon,
Sami
