Ahoy there, Mary!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Your countdown is ticking away, and in just a few short months you and your crew will be
sailing away on the Disney Dream! It sounds like you’re in full packing-list mode, which is one of my favorite parts of cruise planning because it makes the adventure feel very real.
Your sailing is currently scheduled to host
Pirate Night on Day 2, which also happens to be your day at Lookout Cay. Get ready for a swashbuckling good time worthy of Captain Jack himself. In addition to the high-energy deck party and the fan-favorite fireworks at sea (weather permitting), be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app throughout the day. You’ll often find pirate-themed games, character appearances, and activities popping up well before the sun goes down, making it a full day of adventure rather than just an evening event. Since this is a 3-night sailing, you generally won’t see a pirate-themed dinner menu. That’s done intentionally so Guests can enjoy
all three rotational dining rooms during a shorter itinerary.
At this time, there aren’t any additional theme nights scheduled for your sailing. That said, we love adding our own bit of flair by choosing a night to dress up. Whether that’s channeling a touch of royal elegance or going all out for family photos, creating your own “formal night” can be a fun way to capture memories that feel straight out of a Disney storybook. The Atrium makes for especially great photos if you decide to dress to the nines and I highly recommend capturing that perfect family photo.
I hope this helps as you finalize your plans and start
laying everything out on the bed to pack. Knowing what to expect makes it easier to focus on the fun instead of the what-ifs. Before you know it, you’ll be stepping aboard and letting the Dream do what it does best.
Sea ya real soon as the adventure continues into a bright new year,
Dustin
