    When does the theme change to Christmas at Walt Disney World? Thank you.

    Hello Byron! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Celebrating the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort is the best way to get a healthy dose of festive cheer for everyone who loves the Christmas season.

    There are many videos online that reflect the quick transformation that magic Kingdom undergoes from Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party dating back to when the Disney Parks Blog outlined the change several years ago.

    While the Magic Kingdom often changes overnight after the final night of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for Guests to begin the Christmas festivities, the rest of Walt Disney World Resort generally follows suit within the next few weeks. In my personal experience, Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks, Disney Springs and Resort Hotels are in full Christmas celebration mode by the time of the extended Thanksgiving weekend.

    My favorite Christmas experience outside of the Theme Parks, is the life-sized gingerbread house and elaborate decorations at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The gingerbread house has been erected by Thanksgiving and the lobby fully decorated for the past few years.
