Hi Beth,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. An upcoming stay at Disney’s Old Key West Resort?! Is there room in your suitcase for me? This is one of my family’s favorites because the minute you enter the gates you feel as though you have been whisked away to a relaxing beach town, with dreamy palm trees and resort vibes everywhere you look.
Rooms at
Disney’s Old Key West Resort have fabulous amenities, adding to that vacation home feeling. You’ll find hair dryers in your room here – actually, they are found in all rooms in Walt Disney World Resort hotels. If you’re curious about room amenities, visit your resort’s web page, click the tab for room rates, and then click the drop down for “ view amenities” under each room category. This is a great way to compare when you are deciding on a resort.
Beth, I have a few recommendations for your time at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. One is to enjoy at least one sunrise and sunset over the lake or golf course. There is something special about Florida sunrises, and I always make a point of catching a few on my vacation. I also hope you’ll have time for a meal at
Olivia’s Café. I honestly can’t decide whether I like breakfast or dinner there more, so may I suggest you try both? (If you have to choose, I’m leaning toward the scrumptious banana bread French toast with banana rum sauce and coconut cream.) My final suggestion is to enjoy an evening boat ride to Disney Springs; the boat ride is wonderful, and wandering Disney Springs with a drink in hand, enjoying shopping and nightlife, and maybe capping the night off with a Sprinkles cupcake is just plain magical.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
