That's the difference between a standard room and a preferred room?

    Hello, Tara!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to help you plan your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!!!

You ask a GREAT question!  The only real difference between a standard room and a preferred room is its location to the Disney Resort Main Building and Disney Resort pool.  If the room is closer to the Main Building and pool, then that room would be considered a preferred room.  If you are closer to the Resort Main Building, you are also more likely to have a nice view of the resort, instead of a standard room view of a parking lot!  Please NOTE: The GREAT thing is that all the amenities inside each room will be the same.

If having the best view is not important to you and you don't mind walking a little farther to the Disney Resort Main Building, then my recommendation would be to save some money and stay in a standard resort room.

If you have other questions, please let me know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
