Hi Thankyou so much for the panel, it is SO helpful. Can you tell me if you hire bicycles from Fort Wilderness and ride to WIlderness Lodge, are you able to leave the bicycles at Wilderness Lodge? I.e. do a one way hire? Thanks!

    Lynn:

The bikes you rent from the Bike Barn at Fort Wilderness have to be returned to the Bike Barn by 5 p.m., so there's no one-way transports, unfortunately.  The last time I checked, rentals were $9 an hour or $18 a day plus tax but they provide helmets at no charge. You can even rent bikes with training wheels!

If you're looking for transportation from Fort Wilderness to Wilderness Lodge, you can either walk the path that's less than 3/4 mile (the same one you'd bike) or you can take the ferry that goes from the fort's pier to the Contemporary Resort first then on to Wilderness Lodge.

If you have any more questions about the fort, feel free to come back and ask via my bio page!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
