hi and thanku for answering my last question , i have seen boats throughout the parks and was wondering is their a way of moving from park to park by boat , also when does the gingerbread house arrive at gf and is there a lighting ceremony for xmas at hs

    Hi Jane!

There are indeed boats all over Walt Disney World.  That's a lot of fun if a boat is going where you need it to go!  Mostly the boats provide transportation from various hotels to a theme park, or from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom (via the ferry).  There is boat service to and from Downtown Disney for those hotels on the Sassagoula River (e.g. Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter).

Unfortunately, the only two theme parks connected by a boat are Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  However, it is a great way to travel between those two parks, especially if you are leaving from or trying to get to the World Showcase section of Epcot.  That's because the boat dock is near Epcot's International Gateway Entrance between the United Kingdom and France pavilions and not at the front of the park.

With regards to the famous Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian, it usually starts going up about a week before Thanksgiving.  It's an awesome thing to see so if you are going to be in Walt Disney World for the holidays, definitely plan on visiting the Grand Floridian!

    Enjoy planning your magical vacation!
