Thanks! I understand that I'll have to book with a credit card and cancel per the policy. But I still don't understand what the "window" is -- can I make one reservation for 11:45 and another for a different start time, such as 12:00?

Thanks for coming back to planDisney Liz!

I just tested out making dining reservations for the Disneyland Resort to get some more details for you.  I secured my first dining reservation for 11:50 AM, and then I tried making a reservation at 12:50 PM for an hour later, and it would not allow me to book the reservation.  It gave me the message of "conflicting reservations" and that the conflicting reservation would be automatically cancelled if I confirmed my new dining reservation.  You definitely will not be able to book your reservations as close together as 11:45 AM and 12:00 PM.

However, I then tried to book a reservation for 1:00 PM, and it allowed me to book, and still keep my 11:50 AM reservation.  It looks like your dining reservations need to be at least an hour and 10 minutes apart.  The Disneyland app and the Disneyland site will not allow you to book two dining reservations too close together, so if you do not get the error message, then you should be good to book that second reservation!

If it were me, I'd be booking a reservation at Carnation Cafe at Disneyland Park at 11:50 AM and then another reservation at Lamplight Lounge at Disney California Adventure Park at 1:00 PM.  Come that morning, I'd have a very tough choice on our hands!  They're two of our favorite table service restaurants, and most likely we'd be getting a burger at both locations!

I hope having a better defined window of when you can make your dining reservations is helpful, Liz!  Please let me know if there are any other questions I can help with for your trip!

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
