Hi there, Thanks for taking my question; Are The Jungle Book characters (especially Baloo) still available for meet & greets at Walt Disney World? Also, do you know if R2D2 & BB-8 do meet & greets? Thanks again!

    Hi there, Leah!

We are happy to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. You've picked an incredible time to go with all that's new and happening in the parks. So, let's get started planning the pixie dust!

My grandpa's favorite movie was The Jungle Book and I remember watching it with him often. King Louie was his favorite, so I made a point to take my picture with him every visit. Now that he is no longer with us, there is an extra special meaning to finding at least one character from The Jungle Book on each visit. While both Baloo and King Louie used to meet with Guests in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, just earlier this year it was announced they were leaving. Occasionally, I have seen them as part of the Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party in Magic Kingdom, but they are not currently appearing as a meet & greet.

Luckily, I have a better answer for meeting BB-8. He is currently on duty greeting Guests at the Star Wars Launch Bay in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Hopefully he'll stick around until your vacation, but you just never know when he'll roll off on his next mission.

Have a wonderful trip, Leah. If there is anything else we are able to assist you with, please let us know.

    Pixie Dust,
