Hello - Thanks for sharing your knowledge! My question is we will be attending the Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party in November. Will we be able to get and use Fast Passes for that evening? Or will we not need them. How many tickets are sold? Thanks

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Donna!

You will absolutely LOVE Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year at The Most Magical Place on Earth! For each of Mickey’s Parties, FastPass+ experiences are not available but, in my experience, they aren’t necessary. With a limited number of tickets sold for each special event, you’ll experience lower crowd levels during this time than you might see during the day.  This means that while you should still expect to wait in line for some of the more popular attractions, those wait times should be lower than a typical evening’s.

That said, I do have a few tips for maximizing your time while enjoying Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. First of all, arrive early! With your Party ticket, you should be able to enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4 p.m. This means that you should also be able to book and use FastPass+ experiences between 4 and 6 p.m. (when Magic Kingdom Park officially closes for the Party). Keep in mind, though, that you are limited to three initial FastPass+ selections in one Park each day, so if you plan to visit another Theme Park the same day you’ll be attending the Party, you may want to use your FastPasses at the other Park.

Secondly, opt for the second Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and latest performance of the Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration stage show. You’ll typically find the first performances to be the most crowded, so this is a great time to spend enjoying the attractions. (I would definitely plan on trying to ride attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain during the first Parade.)

Thirdly, if there’s a Character you have your heart set on meeting, try to be at that Character’s meeting spot as early as possible. When you arrive at Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll receive a special Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party map which will indicate where all of the special Character meet & greet locations are throughout the Park. You’ll also find that information under the “Characters” drop-down menu option at the top of your My Disney Experience mobile app home screen.

And lastly, make sure you take the time to enjoy the “snow” on Main Street, U.S.A.! It isn’t every day that it snows in Florida, so this is a rare and wonderful treat.

Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Donna! Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
