    Hi Alexandra,

I'm so glad to be able to help. I thought the Royal Guest Room might be just what you were looking for.

Military discounts at the moderate resorts are based on availability. My best advice is for you to call the military discount line at 407-939-7830 and ask them to help you try to book the special room. They will have the best information.

The Port Orleans resorts -- Riverside and French Quarter -- are my favorite moderate resorts. The grounds at Riverside, which is where the Royal Guest Rooms are, are beautifully reminiscent of a tree-lined Southern plantation. There's a great playground and pool complex, a fishing hole, trails for walking and riding bikes and carriage rides. Riverside has a food court and a full-service restaurant, Boatwright's.

The pool at the French Quarter, which is adjacent and within easy walking distance, has a fun sea serpent slide. And don't miss getting an order of hot beignets at the French Quarter food court.

Free water taxi service also is available from Port Orleans to Downtown Disney.

I'm excited that you and your daughter will get this adventure together. Let me know if there's anything else I can do.
