Hi Michele!
You are very welcome! I hope it was helpful:)
The "pods" in most Disney Resorts (and also in Port Orleans French Quarter) have usually been just that...pods. (similar to tea bags, but with no string, that you place in the top of the machine) Unfortunately, (at least in my opinion) they are not K-Cups. I do have a friend that brings her Keurig with her to Disney, though! That would definitely be a benefit of living close enough to drive!
For your second question...NO WORRIES! You will see that a huge percentage (including myself) that run Disney races use a run/walk method. In fact, runDisney's official trainer is the mastermind behind this awesome running method. You can find more out about
Jeff Galloway on the runDisney website and also at www.jeffgalloway.com. I am a huge fan of the run/walk/run method and I use it in all of my long distance races.
There is a 16-minute mile pace requirement. This is an overall pace. There will be some pacers that begin going that pace after the very last person crosses the start line to enforce it. This means that the farther up you start in your corral, the more time you will have built in to finish. RunDisney recommends training at an overall 15-minute mile pace.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!!
