Thanks for the response! Our boys are 2, 7, and 13. Our girls are 5 and 8. I am most concerned with keeping the boys occupied because I know the girls will be in Disney heaven! Any ideas? Can you also explain the pin trading?

Hi again, Jessica! You're correct in that your little girls will love all the Princesses. I hope you're planning on a trip to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! Your princesses will be treated like royalty :)

Do your boys like Star Wars? If so, when at Hollywood Studios, they'll want to do the Jedi Training Academy. See: HERE. They can also build their own lightsaber at Downtown Disney in the Once-Upon-a-Toy store.

If your 13 year old is like mine, he'll love the thrill rides.  I'm not sure if your other kids like those too (mine do)...they can ride too as long as they meet the height requirements. My youngest went on Tower of Terror at 3, so you'll be able to do a lot of rides together as a family. However, for rides that you can't, be sure to do the "Rider Swap". This will allow for you or your husband to ride with some of the kids, while the other stays with the ones who can't ride. Then you switch so the other parent can also experience the ride with the kids.

Before even leaving for our first Disney vacation, we explained to the kids that we would do plenty of things that they all would enjoy. I told them there would be some things that the little girls would like more (Princesses) and some things that the boys would like more (Star Wars and stunt shows). I assured them they'd all get their chance and that they would need to "go with the flow". I think for the older kids, that knowledge helped them to "grin and bear it" on Pooh's ride when they wanted to be on Space Mountain.

I would love to explain Pin Trading to you, as it's something that both of my sons (now 14 & 9) thoroughly enjoy. Due to space constraints, can you please send me a followup question again about it?

Thanks and please let me know if you need clarification on anything above. Kaylene
