Hi again, Catherine, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm so glad you've stopped by with this great follow-up question. It sounds like you're considering switching from one Disney Resort Collection hotel to another to accommodate your family of six.
Catherine, I reached out to a helpful
Cast Member named Brielle, who let me know that you might be able to change to a different
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, even this close to your arrival date. She referenced the current
Terms and Conditions, which state that there is a $50 change fee per package - this is not per person, just per package. It would be best to reach out to whoever originally booked your vacation so they can let you know which rooms are available for your dates. It sounds like keeping your family together is going to bring you a lot of peace of mind, so I'm hopeful that you find the perfect solution.
Both Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's All-Star Music Resort have family suites, so I recommend looking into each of those. You've already heard that family suites offer two bathrooms, but perhaps the best part is that the bedroom is separated from the living space by a door, giving everybody some added privacy. The living space features a sofa that turns into a bed, as well as a table that pulls down into a bed, which never ceases to amaze the kids! The theming at each of these Resorts is so much fun, and you'll be completely immersed in the magic from the moment you wake up.
Catherine, I hope this is helpful to you, and I truly hope you're able to find the perfect Disney Resorts Collection hotel to call "home" during your stay. Please stop back by with any other questions you have! You have a friend in me!
See ya real soon!
Jennifer
