Thanks for providing a place for us to ask and get answers to ??. Taking my ds7 to WDW in May. We arrive on a Monday and are staying at Pop Century. Would like to use one of our sit down meals that evening. Can u suggest something near our resort? Thank U!

    Hi Kim!

I'm assuming you are using Disney Transportation and do not have your own car.  I'm also assuming you are on a Disney Dining Plan and not paying cash for a meal that night.  From Pop Century it is difficult to get to another Walt Disney World Resort hotel with the exception of the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts.  Not including the exception, you would have to take a bus to a central location such as a theme park or Downtown Disney and then transfer to another bus.  The monorail resorts are relatively easy to get to because you only have to take one bus to the Magic Kingdom and then walk or take the monorail to your final destination.  Thus I suggest that you consider having dinner at Downtown Disney or at one of the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts.

Table Service restaurants in Downtown Disney that accept the Dining Plan are Cap'n Jack's Restaurant, Planet Hollywood, Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, and the Wolfgang Puck Cafe.  Of those restaurants, I personally prefer Raglan Road.  It's got great theming and the food is awesome!  Two restaurants that might appeal to your 7 year old are the Rain Forest Cafe and T-Rex, but they are not on the Disney Dining Plan.

The monorail resorts are the Contemporary, the Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian.  From Pop Century, you should take a bus to the Magic Kingdom.  Once there you can walk in about 5 to 10 minutes to the Contemporary.  You can also walk to the Magic Kingdom monorail station and take a resort monorail to the Contemporary, Polynesian, or the Grand Floridian.  All three have great places to eat, but with a 7 year old, I recommend Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary, 'Ohana in the Polynesian, or 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian.  All three are on the Disney Dining Plan.

    Have a magical vacation!
